2. To me, trying to imagine the "experience" of lifelessness is like trying to imagine the experience of blindness. I picture blackness, rather than the lack of any sensation at all. Does anyone have any toughts about the "experience" of no longer having any experiences?

Its really a hollow question, since you can't really imagine a way in which we would answer it. What would we accept as proof in support of an answer.
I guess what I was saying was that I don't really believe in an afterlife, but I can't imagine not existing in one form or another either. I was honestly looking for a perspective shift so that I could fully understand, and thus prepare myself for, ineveitable lifelessness.
Well, those of us with no afterlife plans have a tough job convincing oursleves that death isn't a terrifying oblivion. I deal by not thinking about it at all. But if I had to, I suppose it is like passing out and then not waking up.
